NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed proposals for the CDBG OUTREACH CENTER ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT will be received by the Gallia County Commissioners at their office, 18 Locust Street, Room 1292, Gallipolis, Ohio, until 11:00 AM Thursday, October 17, 2024, and then at 11:00 AM at said office opened and read aloud. This Bid notice shall be located on the Gallia County website (gallianet.net) from September 20, 2024 thru October 17, 2024.
The project work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment in accordance with the contract documents. Project cost estimate will be revised and released on 10/9/2024.
Bid/Contract Forms may be obtained from the Gallia County Commissioners Office located at 18 Locust Street, Room 1292, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631; T: 740.446.4612 Ext. 1815 or on Gallia County’s website using the following link: https://gallianet.net/index.php/bid-notices . Plans will be on file for review at: Gallia County Commissioners Office, 18 Locust Street, Room 1292, Gallia County Courthouse, Gallipolis, Ohio.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond as required by Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code in an amount equal to the sum of the bid submitted by each contractor. In lieu of posting the bond, a bidder may use a Cashier’s Check, Certified Check or Letter of Credit for ten percent of the Contractor’s bid as bid security. When a check or letter of credit is used, the bidder shall be required to post a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Labor and Material Payment Bond, upon the signing of the contract. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond.
Bids shall be sealed and marked as "BID FOR CDBG OUTREACH CENTER ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT" and mailed or delivered to: Gallia County Commissioners Office, 18 Locust Street, Room 1292, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the Bid packet, various insurance requirements, federal prevailing wage requirements, various equal opportunity provisions.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and the right to accept the lowest and best bid, the right to waive minor irregularities on any bid, and the right to accept the bid proposal which promotes the best interest of the owner. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within thirty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Failure to submit the Bid Guaranty Bond and the required notarized affidavits with the bid shall be cause for considering the bid submission incomplete and for the rejection of the bid. Each bid must contain the full name of the party of parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project.

Bid Submittal Deadline
All bids are due to the Gallia County Land Reutilization LLC no later than 10 AM Friday August 30, 2024. You may submit you bid package in the following manner by mail to Gallia County Land Reutilization Corp PO Box 805 Gallipolis, Ohio 45631 or by delivery to Gallia County Land Reutilization Corp 736 2nd Ave Gallipolis Ohio 45631. Att’n Lynn Angell. Bidders shall submit the Bid Form found in Appendix A of the bid document, along with a proposed schedule. If your bid is accepted certificates of liability insurance and workers compensation will be required within 5 working days or the bidder will be rejected and back up bids will be considered. Project Award Date
