MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma
2. Post-secondary training in a trade is desirable, supervisory skills, experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, HVAC, fire suppressions, security, landscaping care and communication systems substantiated by training
3. Ability to perform physically demanding work that includes lifting, cleaning and/or moving heavy items
4. Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies, and administrative guidelines and procedures
5. Embodies high ethical standards/integrity, accepts personal responsibility for decisions/conduct
6. Holds or is qualified to obtain a pesticide application license
7. Exhibits consistent, impartial, and resourceful decision-making skills, interprets information accurately, evaluates options thoroughly, develops reasonable solutions to resolve issues
8. Knowledgeable about environmental, health, and OSHA safety regulations, building codes, and ADA accessibility guidelines, uses blueprints/schematic diagrams effectively
9. Collects, records, and maintains data accurately; applies basic mathematical concepts correctly
10. Demonstrates dependability and flexibility; reacts productively to interruptions/emerging priorities
11. Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit employment
12. Maintains a valid driver’s license, meets all prerequisite and ongoing qualifications to be covered by the county’s insurance carrier

Full-time position available that requires clerical experience and a willingness to learn specific duties required by the Ohio Revised Code and the appointing authority, Noreen M. Saunders, Gallia County Clerk of Courts. Deputies are required to carry out specific duties to title motor vehicles as well as the duties of a deputy registrar.
Job is clerical in nature and requires great customer service skills and at least high school diploma or equivalent.
